Fees

Do you want to make some changes to your kitchen or bath? Do you have some ideas but are not sure how to make it all come together. Design Up, LLC is here to help. Once you have scheduled a consultation with Design Up, LLC you can leave your worries behind. Our consultation is brief but significant. It generally takes place at the project location. The consult is an opportunity for the client to meet the design consultant, discuss their ideas, solicit our input where necessary, and talk about the scope of the project. It is also an opportunity for us to familiarize ourselves with the space and offer our thoughts and ideas; perhaps ones that you may not have previously entertained. Design Up, LLC charges a consult fee of $75. However, we will credit this fee toward your project services if you choose to move forward with us.

After the initial consult, the project is divided into three phases:
Phase 1, Design/Specification: During this phase, we would draft a physical plan and specify all material for the project. The cost for this service varies by project size and scope, but is typically a flat fee. However, an hourly fee may be arranged at our standard $75 per hour fee.

Phase 2, Procurement: This involves the ordering of the materials specified in Phase 1, receiving the materials, and verifying their correctness with the client.

Phase 3, Build/Installation: This phase involves the management of the trades required to complete the project (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, etc.) and acquisition of any permits that may be necessary.
You may decide to handle the Procurement and/or Build/Installation phases yourself to reduce your costs. The Design/Specification phase will give you everything you need for the procurement of required materials. If Design Up, LLC manages the complete Procurement phase, a retainer will be required to cover the estimated costs of the materials. Nothing will be ordered without the client’s approval. If you wish to manage the Build/Installation phase, Design Up, LLC will be happy to provide contacts that will complete the installation. However, if you want Design Up, LLC to oversee your project, our project management fee is 20% of the overall project cost or portion of the project in which we oversee.
